Accessibility
A dated statement of how this site was built and checked.
I want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Standard
This site was built and tested to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Conformance status
Partially conformant: the site meets WCAG 2.2 level AA as far as the checks below can tell, and the parts listed under “Known limitations” may not fully meet it.
How it was tested
- An automated check of every page, on a phone and a desktop screen: Lighthouse 13.5.0 (it uses the axe rules), through Google’s PageSpeed Insights. Every page scored 100 for accessibility.
- A check by hand of what the automated one can’t see: every page and the form with the keyboard only, the skip link and the focus outline, nothing covering a control that has focus, the pages at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom, the size and spacing of buttons and links, colour contrast, the text for images, and reduced motion.
- Browser: Chromium (version 153).
Known limitations
- The spam check on the contact form is Cloudflare Turnstile, a service I don’t control. If it gets in your way, email or ring me instead (below).
- The cookie box keeps the keyboard inside it until you choose Accept, Decline or Choose, so that nothing is set before you decide.
- The site hasn’t yet been tested with a screen reader.

Dates
This statement was written on 23 October 2026. The last check was on 24 October 2026. Every change to a page is checked again before it goes live, and this date is updated.
